Meet Avery Johnson Scholar Athlete of the Week
Kingwood Park All Sports Booster Club
Avery is a four year distance runner for Kingwood Park Cross Country with one year on the varsity squad. In addition to cross country, Avery also runs track for Kingwood Park. In spite of his hectic schedule, he has also found time to be involved with numerous organizations: Fellowship of Christian Athletes, NHS, Spanish NHS, the Student Advisory Committee, an exchange youth ministry volunteer and CRU (a christian organization that aids high school evangelism) . Avery plans to attend Rice University where he will study physics. After graduation he plans to become a high school physics teacher and spend summers traveling and preaching. In Avery's spare time, he enjoys hanging out with friends and family and spending time at his church. He is the son of Arthur and Stephanie Johnson and has two older siblings, Adrian and Brooke. Avery admires his dad most as providing inspiration in his life.
Kingwood Park is lucky to have Avery as our Scholar Athlete of the Week!
